A construction company from France Vinci, together with the world leader in oncology — the Medical Center of the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, began in the spring of 2018 to build a cancer center in Astana. The cancer center will be one of the largest in Central Asia. Its uniqueness will be that under the project it will meet the latest technologies and the latest achievements of science and technology in the field of cancer and cancer treatment. The complex will combine a polyclinic, a hospital and a hotel.
The idea of the construction of the complex belongs to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which in the distant 2011 set the government’s task to build one of the best clusters in the medical industry to high world standards.
According to this initiative, the National Cancer Center in Astana was already planned. The customer of the facility is Nazarbayev University, who also invited consultants from the medical center of the University of Pittsburgh. 2 years ago, Vinci won an international tender for the construction of an object in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The French company chose the Kazakhstan company BI Group as subcontractors. The design has already been completed and in April 2018 the first stage of construction will begin — foundation pouring, and then its waterproofing.
The National Oncology Center will be located on the territory of the «Nazarbayev University» and will occupy an area of about 5 hectares. It is in this place that the most advanced technologies for the prevention and treatment of cancer diseases will be used, and innovations will be introduced and the most advanced biotechnological research will be tested. The center will provide the most complete oncological care in the country.
